Effective Date: February 3, 2026
1. The Service Agreement These Terms of Service ("Terms") and your purchase receipt constitute the Entire Agreement between you and LatchPros with respect to the services and benefits provided to you. These Terms prevail over any conflicting marketing materials or other documents. Employees and agents of LatchPros have NO AUTHORITY to alter or modify these terms, either orally or in writing.
2. Scope of Service & Base Rates LatchPros provides specialized maintenance and troubleshooting for smart locking systems (including Janus International/Nokē hardware) within the State of Texas. The following Base Rates apply to all services:
Lock Install ($770.00): Includes removal of existing hardware, installation of the new unit, and uploading the lock to the system.
Battery Service ($155.00): Includes removing batteries, providing new batteries, and a diagnostic check to ensure batteries are working on the lock's system.
Grind Entry ($100.00): Applied if a lock can be safely and professionally ground off.
Drill Entry ($50.00): An additional fee added to a Lock Install if LatchPros cannot safely or professionally grind the lock off.
3. Authorization Requirement (Texas Occupations Code § 1702.2865) In accordance with Texas law, LatchPros cannot perform services that involve granting entry to a structure or property unless the customer:
Presents a valid government-issued photo identification.
Provides a signed authorization certifying that the customer owns or is otherwise entitled to legal access to the property.
Note: Failure to provide these upon arrival will result in a cancellation and a charged service fee.
4. Fees and No-Show Policy
Cancellation Policy: Appointments must be canceled at least 2 hours prior to the scheduled time.
No-Show / Late Cancellation Fee: Cancellations made with less than 2 hours' notice, or "no-shows" where the technician is unable to access the property, will be charged a $250.00 fee.
Service Call Fee: A standard diagnostic fee applies to all onsite visits, regardless of whether the lock can be successfully repaired or if it requires full replacement.
5. Limitation of Liability TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
(I) LATCHPROS SHALL UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF BUSINESS, PROFITS, REVENUE, OR THE FAILURE TO MAINTAIN DATA CONFIDENTIALITY.
(II) OUR TOTAL LIABILITY UNDER THIS AGREEMENT SHALL NOT EXCEED THE ORIGINAL PURCHASE PRICE OF THE SERVICE PERFORMED, INCLUDING TAXES.
(III) These limitations will not exclude liability caused by our gross negligence, intentional misconduct, or fraud.
(IV) LatchPros is not liable for damages to the door, frame, or hardware when "destructive entry" is necessary due to total electronic failure or mechanical seizure.
6. Warranties and Responsibilities
Battery Warranty: LatchPros provides a 30-day warranty on battery replacements. This covers functionality but excludes drain caused by extreme weather or faulty third-party hardware.
Hardware Warranty: All new smart locks installed by LatchPros carry a 90-day labor warranty. Product hardware is subject to the manufacturer’s original warranty.
Data Responsibility: Prior to service, it is your responsibility to back up any data associated with your smart entry system. LatchPros is not liable for the loss or recovery of system data.
7. Governing Law These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas.
